Hi, my name's Mateo. I'm a UX Designer with 6 years of experience designing user friendly products.

EZ-Probate
I founded a Design Studio LLC with former Burlington Code Academy students and we helped EZ-Probate simplify their lengthy digital form.
NightIQ
The NightIQ, formerly Crowdid, is an app enhances nightlife for club and bar goers, functioning as a social network and booking platform for premium experiences.
My Process
Over the years, I have refined my project process and explored different methods to address various challenges. This is a very high level view of my approach.
When I join a new team, I hold two intro meetings. The first focuses on project objectives and challenges, while the second shares my plans, timelines, and deliverables.
In the first month I focus on the company's workflow and share info on and design strategy and identify any blockers. We focus in on story load and look at the teams capacity for future updates, while getting a good sprint cadence mapped out to meet our project goals.
In this phase, I focus on collaborating with users to identify pain points in the current design and review similar products to establish content and user flow preferences. I gather feedback on new language, components, and style concepts, conducting interviews and tests on evolving designs to create an optimal user-friendly experience.
I collaborate with the product team to package new component styles and template pages. We detail specific complex flows and components that will be handed to development in phases. Additionally, I gather any remaining development specifications and document them in our "ready for dev" file to ensure a smooth transition.
As we go live and evaluate our goals through KPIs, I create a chat thread for each story to collaboratively address any issues. I review updates for pixel perfection and continue to work with the testing and development teams as we gather more feedback and analytics.
